Coast Restaurant is one of Sydney’s famous a la carte restaurants located over Darling Harbour. Relaxed and sophisticated, the design draws its inspiration from coastal and beach house elements. The atmospheric effect is inviting and exciting, especially at night when the lights of the coastline interplay with the lights of Darling Harbour. Coast’s recent addition of a Roof Top Bar provides the ultimate alfresco dining and meeting place, coupled with atmosphere and sunsets to die for and provides the perfect venue to drink, dine and relax.
What they were looking for
Coast approached Online Now with a visually based concept which was aimed to showcase the spectacular views and modern dining experience they have to offer. As well as its unique and forward layout, Coast needed to communicate with its corporate clientele with ease and have a content system that could be effortlessly updated to cater for their ever changing seasonal menus.
Design
The design concept for Coast restaurant was a core element of their project and they wanted to use the imagery of the vene as the centerpeice. Online Now delivered a simple image based template to match their needs with pictures of the restaurant's location as the central focus.
Features
Features of the Coast Restaurant website included the incorporation of a splash page by which you could choose to enter the Coast Restaurant website or the Roof Top Bar website. The background images featured stretching technology so the site could be loaded through all browsers and monitors without distortion or loss of image definition. The media library and editable content manager allowed Coast to update all menus and information on their website easily and periodically.
Conclusion
The final outcome for Coast Restaurant’s new website was a great success in design which showcased the business in a modern, professional and exciting light. The ease of use of the software was beneficial to the business and its clientele who could quickly and easily download the appropriate information necessary, all the while feeling like they experienced an insight to the venue by simply visiting the website.
