Should I register a new domain name or transfer?

From

To make sure the transition to Online Now is as easy and smooth as it can be, there are three options to deal with domain names associated with your Online Now website.

1. If you have an existing domain name provider and you are happy to stay with them, once your website is ready we will send through the information necessary to update your domain name to point to your new Online Now website so you can work with your provider to update it.

2. You can elect to transfer your existing domain name(s) to Online Now in which case we effect the changes to our domain name(s) ourselves once your site is ready. You will then be able to manage your domain name records (such as mail for example) directly using your Online Now website administration.

3. If you do not currently have a domain name or would like to add a domain name to your new or existing Online Now website you can choose to register these through Online Now, and we will take care of all the settings changes required. You will also be able to make any future changes to your domain name records directly using your Online Now website administration.

Transfer costs depend on the domain name. For .com.au, .org.au and .net.au domain names we are happy to extend free transfer to our existing clients whereby you will not pay for the domain name until it is due for renewal. For all other domain names we are required by the registration governing body to charge on transfer, but any remaining time with the existing registrar at the time of transfer is added to the registration period.

We currently offer .com and .com.au domain names for 2 years to our existing clients only for $89.00 inclusive of GST.
