Placing items out of stock

Placing items out-of-stock in the products pages site can be done in the Content Manager module by taking two easy steps:
    •    Once logged in go to ‘Content Manager’ and select product page and item then select ‘Edit’
    •    In the rich text editor type in your out of stock message to appear on the product page
   
Note- this is only a customer alert and does not avoid customers from being able to add the item to their cart – to remove item from site temporarily go to product catalogue page, select item for editing and under ‘Publication Controls’ change ‘Active to’ date to the past or change the ‘Active from’ date to the future (future dates useful for when new stock is expected to be available for sale when out of stock. Items re-activate automatically on future date entered)
